He graduated from Union College, Schenectady NY with a BA in Humanities and received his MD degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse. Post graduate training in Pathology was obtained from Barnes Hospital./Washington University, St Louis MO, the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Washington DC and as a NIH Fogarty International Fellow at the Institute of Laryngology and Otology, University of London, UK. Dr. Davis is American Board of Pathology Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
He had been a Associate Professor of Pathology at Washington University in St Louis School of Medicine where he was Acting Pathologist in Chief, Head of Anatomic Pathology and Cytology at the Jewish Hospital of St Louis, prior to his appointment as Chair of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport CT where he was appointed to the Yale clinical faculty.For the past 10 years Dr Davis has been a member of the full time faculty at Yale University; he is Clinical Professorof Pathology at the Medical School and Professor in the Program in Applied Mathematics at theGraduate School of Arts and Sciences.
