Biography

Dr. Shwetank got his PhD from Dept. Of Biochemistry, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in cellular immune response to flaviviruses. Currently pursuing his Postdoctoral research at Penn State College of Medicine, PA, USA in the field of Innate and adaptive immune response to polyomavirus. He is an Editorial Board member for Journal of Autoimmunity and Cell Responses and Immunotherapy (open access Journal). In past, he has reviewed research articles for Journal of Immunological Techniques in Infectious Diseases, Journal of Clinical & Cellular Immunology, Immunome Research, Rheumatology, Clinical Microbiology, PLoS Pathogen and Virus Research. He also has done book chapter, research articles in Journal of Immunology, Journal of Autoimmunity, PLoS One and Immunology letters. Dr. Shwetank is also India coordinator, Project Brahma (https://www.biodiversityofindia.org). Responsibilities: Public relations and communications head and Content editor.

Research Interest

Dr. Shwetank’s area of expertise are anti-viral immunity, NK cells immunology, T cell activation and memory differentiation, Flaviviruses, Polyomaviruses, Immunology of Brain and Autoimmunity.
