Biography

Dr. Feng Dai received his Ph.D in Biostatistics/Statistical Genetics from University of Pittsburgh. As present, he is working as an associate research scientist in public health (biostatistics) at Yale University. He works closely with Anesthesiologists from Yale Department of Anesthesiology and overseas the statistical analysis on various clinical projects. He is also an adjunct assistant professor at Department of Anesthesiology, University of Pittsburgh.

Research Interest

Statistical methodology and its innovative applications in human genetics. Specifically I hope to (1) Develop statistical methodologies to find genetic variants based on linkage and association between genetic markers and human complex diseases like pain and opioid side-effects, (2) Collaborate with investigators who have scientific questions in pain gene mapping or other biological fields, and (3) Collaborate with clinicians who need statistical expertise in analyzing challenging data from different (analgesic) clinical trials.
