Drossou Victoria has graduated from the Department of Biology, University of Thessaloniki (Greece). She obtained her PhD from the Department of Chemistry of the Aristotle University (Greece) studying the interactions between proteins of the nuclear envelope and chromatin. Later, she joined as a post-doc the Institute of Agrobiotechnology (INA) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) where she focused on epigenetic modifications that regulate gene inactivation in plants initiating chromatin immunoprecipitation (CHIP) assays in barley. After she spend 1 year in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics of Democritus University of Thrace focusing on research in the field of biomolecular interactions, she joined again INA where she continues studying epigenetics. She has 8 publications in peer-reviewed journals (136 citations). She has 12 years research experience in the field of chromatin molecular biology and protein biochemistry and strong expertise on protein-protein and protein-nucleic acid interactions, CHIP analysis and DNA methylation analysis.
