Biography
Dr. Diana Ivankovic is the director of the Anderson Center for Cancer Research, in Anderson, SC. She served as chair and director of education on the board of the Susan G. Komen Mountains to Midlands Affiliate, raising over $1.5 million to help underserved women affected by cancer in SC. She has worked closely with AnMed, the Oncology Research Institute in Greenville, the Greenwood Genetic Center, and the Cancer Association of Anderson County. Diana has several publications and awards for her contributions in the field of cancer research. She has received an excellence in teaching award by the South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities in 2006, the Michael Boles Excellence in Teaching award for 2010, as well as the Servant Leadership Award in 2005. Her passion and research expertise are in plant screening for anti-carcinogenic properties. She is a professor of cellular biology and genetics at Anderson University, in Anderson, SC.
