Biography

Dr Chantelle van Graan received her dental degree in 2009 from The University of the Western Cape, South Africa. She was then appointed by the South African National Defence Force as a community service dentist in 2009 for the duration of a year. In 2010 she joined a private practice and started her post-graduate studies in the field of implant dentistry. She completed a two-year Post-graduate Certificate in Oral Implantology at the University of Pretoria in 2013. She then proceeded in completing her Post-graduate Diploma in Oral Implantology which was awarded in 2015. She was awarded first prize for Poster Presentation at the International Team for Implantology (ITI) National congress in 2016. She presented and moderated a dental conference in Orlando USA in March 2017. Her article “Immediate Implant placement in the anterior maxilla with customised impression coping: A clinical case presentation” was published in the online journal EC Dental Science in April 2017. She currently resides and works in private practice in Secunda, Mpumalanga where she hopes become involved in more research in the dental field in the near future.
