Biography

Dr. Arnon Blum MD is a Visiting Professor of Cardiology in the Interdisciplinary Stem Cell Institute in the University of Miami, studying the effect of stem cells transplantation to the Heart on the peripheral blood vessels and on endothelial function and endothelial progenitor stem cells’ growth and function. He continued for an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship in Tel-Aviv Medical Center and in 1997 joined the Cardiology Branch in the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland USA, as a Visiting Scientist. His main interests are mechanisms of atherosclerosis, endothelial function and vascular inflammation, endothelial progenitor stem cells’ research and stem cells transplantation for cardiovascular disease. His main clinical interests are Heart Failure, Gender Medicine, and Advanced Imaging of the cardiovascular system. Dr. Blum is actively involved in clinical research and leads many clinical studies in USA and Israel , and is a Visiting Professor in several Universities in the USA.

Research Interest

Mechanisms of atherosclerosis, endothelial function and vascular inflammation, endothelial progenitor stem cells’ research and stem cells transplantation for cardiovascular disease and main clinical interests are Heart Failure, Gender Medicine, and Advanced Imaging of the cardiovascular system.
