Biography
Dr Bensheng Qiu is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine, University of Washington School of Medicine. He received his Bachelor Degree in Electronic Engineering, Master Degree in Acoustic Engineering and Ph D degree in Computer Science. From 1997-2001, he worked in the Department of Radiology at the PLA General Hospital in Beijing, China. From 2001 to 2005, he worked in the Department of Radiology, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and learned biotechnology as a special student in the university. In the past years, he conducted several NIH-funded or other professional foundation-funded research projects on interventional MRI and MRI-guided stem cell-gene therapy and received many awards from Radiology Society of North America, American Heart Association and International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine.
Research Interest
Dr Bensheng Qiu research intrests includes Developing interventional and molecular MRI techniques to guide stem cell-gene therapies for various diseases.
