The Coordinator for B.Ed. in Special Education, Associate Professor in Mental Health, College of Education - Psychological Sciences Department, Qatar University. Received a Ph.D. in Educational Philosophy (Mental health) from Ain Shames University; and a Master’s degree in Education (Psychology), from Ain Shams University, College of Education. Has led many successful projects and workshops in Qatar and Global. As well, as has engaged in research for over 23 years in Psychology of Women and Family, Child abuse, Creativity of Youth, and Quality Assurance in Higher Education. Khalifa is a chairperson for Quality Assurance and program Enhancement Committee at College of Education; and was a board member of DISES at large, Division of International of Special Education services, CEC, for three years. Khalifa is also a scientific reviewer at International Journal Multicultural Learning and Teaching, and has received many awards over the past 20 years such as an Award from the Vice President and Chief Academic Officer for her constant involvement in OFID activities and in the Quality and Measurement team, advising and following up on the implementation of the training program’s assessment. In addition, has awarded from Kennesaw State University (KSU) Shield of higher appreciation by KSU President Daniel Papp for her efforts in the field of special education and academic works and an awarded from the Gulf Disability Society for her efforts and work with the scientific committee of the Forum of GDS.
Khalifa has research interests to study the components of attitudes, how attitudes develop and how attitudes change, “researchers have described three core components of attitude: an affective component, a behavioral component and a cognitive component” Khalifa has conducted several scientific papers about the attitudes towards women roles, work, leadership, children socialization, and domestics maids and the children attitudes towards their relationships with the domestics maids, as well as attitudes towards modernizations the roles of women; attitudes towards the child with disability, attitudes towards the children with learning disability. Has wrote many books about the socialization and learning disability. As well as studied the role that social influence on Behaviour and decision-making. Khalifa studied topics such as the psychology of peer parents, and adjustment, Learning disabilities (LD) and strategies of teaching students with LD to enhance their quality of learning. Has awarded many grants in collaboration with Regional and International institutions in USA and other countries.
