Biography

Dr. De received his PhD degree in Biochemistry in 1979 from the University of Maryland. He had two post doctoral trainings on basic cancer research at the Cornell University and Vanderbilt University under the supervision of Dr. Leon Heppel (Member of National Academy of Science) and Dr. Stanley Cohen (Nobel Laureate, 1986) respectively. Following a faculty position at the Children Hospital of Cincinnati he underwent a fellowship on Clinical Chemistry at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in 1992. During this training his advisors were Drs Amadeo Pesce and Bradley Copeland. He joined and served as an Associate Director of Clinical Chemistry and toxicology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center before joining at the University of Arizona Medical Center in 2005. 
 

Research Interest

His research interests are new method validations of chemistry analytes, hemoglobin A1c measurements, cardiac biomarkers, signal transduction pathways of cellular growth and cancer.
