Dr. Ashish Saxena is currently working as Associate Scientist, Corn Breeder for Dow AgroSciences located at York, NE field station from last 3 years. He pursued his doctoral degree in Plant Breeding and Crop Genetics from Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences, New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, NM during 2009. The research focus for his doctoral degree was “breeding for disease resistance”, and got a minor in “experimental statistics”. He earned MS degree in Vegetable Crop Breeding from the Department of Vegetable Crop, Punjab Agricultural University, India during 2002, and worked with hot pepper on GxE issues on male sterile lines. Meanwhile, He also worked for Nickerson-Zwaan (Limagrain) as Cucumber and Cauliflower breeder, and worked together with a group of international breeders and scientists working on developing cultivars to remove the hunger and malnutrition of world.
