Biography

Mahajan did MBBS and MD Radiodiagnosis from KMC Manipal, and then did super-specialisation, 2 yrs Fellowship in Cancer Imaging at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, India, from August 2009 to July 2011. He have completed Master’s program from King’s College London. Presently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Radiodiagnosis at TMC. His area of interest includes: Gynaecology Imaging, Genitourinary Imaging and Breast Imaging. Presently he is actively involved in Neuro-oncology, Head and Neck, Thoracic and gynaec-oncology work in Tata Memorial Hospital. He have done extensive work on Role of Multifunctional MRI (BOLD hypoxia imaging, perfusion, diffusion and spectroscopy in oncology) and CT perfusion imaging; two of his papers were selected for International trainee research award in RSNA 2010. He has delivered several faculty lectures at various national conferences. He was involved in molecular lab, learning the role of hypoxia markers in cancers and there role in translational research in cancer at Kings’ college, London, UK. His research work has been acknowledged nationally and internationally. He presented his work in RSNA 2011 clinical trial methodology workshop, RSNA, ECR, ACORD, AOCR, IRIA and many other conferences. He have won Best paper award in most of the conferences. Trained at MOGA(Medical Oncology Group of Australia), ASCO and ESMO funded ACORD 2010 workshop; He was also selected for ACORD 2010 and RSNA 2011 clinical trial methodology workshop for clinical research. Recently He have been selected as a member of the subcommittee to the steering committee for ACORD.
