Description of the country:

Canada is second largest country by total area and the fourth-largest country by land area. Canada border with USA is world’s longest land border in the world. The climatic condition quite different in Canada has cold winter climate, but southerly areas are warm in summer because due to the Atlantic to the Pacific and northward into the Arctic Ocean. Canada ranks fourth having the world’s largest proportion of fresh water lakes.

Geography of the country:

By geographically is fourth largest country by area with a landmass of 9.98 million square kilometres stretches from the Atlantic Ocean in the east to the Pacific Ocean in the west to the Arctic Ocean which lies on the north. Canada has world’s longest coastline with a total length of 243,042 kilometres. Canada is geologically active which is vulnerable to frequent earth quakes and active volcanic eruption. Canada can be consider as land of lakes has over 0.2 Million which constitutes fifth largest country in the world.

Status of economy, research and development:

Canada is a most developed and has the tenth highest nominal per capita income globally, and the ninth highest ranking in the Global HDI. The latest economic survey is stagnant GDP 2.3%. Canada’s economic remain strong because it’s well supported by solid protection of property rights along with a solid independent judiciary that enforces the rule of law effectively. Canada is closely tied to the U.S. economy. Leading exports include oil, minerals, automobiles, manufactured goods, and forest products. Canada is a realm member of Common Wealth Countries, Group of Ten, G8, G20, UNO, NATO, NAFTA and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation.

Status about the different subjects in which extensive research is going on:

In terms of support Canada government spends approximately about $31.3 Canadian dollars on domestic research and development. As of 2016, Country has produced 13 Nobel laureates in physics, chemistry, and medicine and was ranked fourth worldwide for scientific research quality in 2012 by a group of International scientist. Most of the researcher or scientist of earth science or geoscience related wide-ranging investigators into the phenomena that earth have shaped, and continue to shape, the earth with a theme “Earth Impact on Present Physical Environment”. CFES raises awareness of the help to understand importance of earth sciences which enhances understanding of the role of Earth science in environmental, natural hazard and climate studies and in securing and responsibly developing state energy, mineral and water resources. University of New Brunswick Fredericton, Canada, University of Toronto, Canada, University of Calgary and Dalhousie University is associated with PAGSE, NSERC, Geological Association of Canada and CFES which raises awareness of the importance of Earth Science in the country. Several Association, Societies or Other Organization has associated with each other in protecting country called “Land of Lilies”.
