Cardiovascular Therapy: Open Access is a scientific, peer-reviewed journal that presents original articles on topics covering the entire spectrum of practical, clinical approach to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Cardiovascular Therapy: Open Access also publishes timely and informative reviews on scientific areas in cardiovascular therapy as well as case reports, book reviews, clinical images, hypotheses and letters to the Editors.
Cardiovascular Therapy: Open Access focuses on the topics disease-oriented morphology and pathogenesis from clinicians and scientists in the cardiovascular field. Subjects covers all Cardiovascular Diseases such as Coronary Heart Disease, Angina, Heart attack, Congenital Heart Disease, Stroke, Cardiovascular Biology and Diseases, Ischemic Heart Disease, Coronary Artery Diseases which includes angina and myocardial infarction etc.
The journal is using Editorial Managing System for quality peer-review process. Editorial Managing is an online manuscript submission, review and tracking systems. Review processing is performed by the editorial board members of the Journal or outside experts; at least two independent reviewers approval followed by editor approval is required for acceptance of any citable manuscript. Authors may submit manuscripts and track their progress through the system, hopefully to publication. Reviewers can download manuscripts and submit their opinions to the editor. Editors can manage the whole submission/review/revise/publish process.

Cardiotoxicity is a condition when there is damage to the heart muscle. It is the occurrence of heart electrophysiology dysfunction or muscle damage. The heart becomes weaker and is not as efficient in pumping and therefore circulating blood. This may be due to chemotherapy drugs, or other medications used to control respective disease.

Paediatric Cardiology is that branch of medicine concerned with the study of congenital cardiac malformations, acquired heart diseases and abnormalities of the systemic and pulmonary circulations in the fetus, newborn, child and young adult. It is the specialty concerned with diseases of the heart in the growing and developing individual.

Atherosclerosis is a disease in which plaque builds up inside arteries. Arteries are blood vessels that carry oxygen-rich blood to heart and other parts of body. Plaque is made up of fat, cholesterol, calcium, and other substances found in the blood. It is hardening and narrowing of the arteries which get a lot of bad press but with good reason. This progressive process silently and slowly blocks arteries, putting blood flow at risk.

It is a tear in one of the carotid arteries of the neck, which allows blood under arterial pressure to enter the wall of the artery and split its layers. The result is either an intramural hematoma or an aneurysmal dilatation, either of which can be a source of microemboli, with the latter also causing a mass effect on surrounding structures.

It is defined as an infection of the endocardial surface of the heart, which may include one or more heart valves, the mural endocardium, or a septal defect. Its intracardiac effects include severe valvular insufficiency, which may lead to intractable congestive heart failure and myocardial abscesses. It is also called bacterial endocarditis, is an infection caused by bacteria that enter the bloodstream and settle in the heart lining, a heart valve or a blood vessel.

In non-infective endocarditis or nonbacterial thrombic endocarditis, sterile clots form on cardiac valves and nearby endocardium as a result of trauma, vasculitis or a hypercoagulable state such as pregnancy. This condition usually affects valves that have not previously been damaged. Noninfective endocarditis refers to formation of sterile platelet and fibrin thrombi on cardiac valves and adjacent endocardium in response to trauma, circulating immune complexes, vasculitis, or a hypercoagulable state. Symptoms are those of systemic arterial embolism. Diagnosis is by echocardiography and negative blood cultures. Treatment consists of anticoagulants.

Pericarditis is swelling and irritation of the pericardium, the thin sac-like membrane surrounding the heart. Inflammation of the lining around the heart that causes chest pain and accumulation of fluid around the heart, there are many causes of pericarditis, including infections, injury, radiation treatment, and chronic diseases. The sharp chest pain associated with pericarditis occurs when the irritated layers of the pericardium rub against each other.
