Dr. Tileye is a  Assistant Professor, Working for AAU Since 1995. Administrative positions held are Director, Biotechnology Program Unit, 2010 to 2012. Memberships, journal editorial roles are Biological Society of Ethiopia, Plant Biotechnology Society of Ethiopia and Associate Editor of Ethiopian Journal of Biological Sciences. PhD, Plant Biotechnology, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU); MSc, Genetics, Addis Ababa University; BSc, Biology, Addis Ababa University.
