Biography

Starting as a Medical Doctor in hospitals and private practice, my postgraduate education focussed on public health (MPH) and research methodology in primary care and health services research. My favourite research topics are: risk communication, inappropriate interventions in medicine, overuse (overdiagnosis, overtreatment, polypharmacy, deprescribing), multimorbidity and chronic care. In these years, we are conducting several RCT's in these areas at the Institute of Primary Care, University of Zurich, Switzerland, where I am Head of the Chronic Care Unit and Assistant Professor for Chronic Care and Multimorbidity in Ambulatory Primary Care.
