Biography

I hold a Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana and I am currently a Ph.D. candidate and clinical research assistant at the University of Houston, College of Optometry, in Houston , Texas, USA. My research focuses on metabolic syndrome and its effects on the Meibomian gland and the ocular surface. Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of conditions including obesity, dyslipidemia, hypertension, systemic inflammation, and hyperglycemia.
