Biography

Monica Mitchell, PhD, received her doctorate from Vanderbilt University in 1998, and completed her residency and postdoctoral fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in 1998 and 2001 respectively. During her postdoctoral fellowship, she completed a supplement grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) - National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) to examine family variables related to nutritional intake and mealtime behavior problems. Dr. Mitchell has published more than 20 articles, including in the Journal of Pediatric Psychology, Headache, Diabetes Care and Pediatrics.
