Biography

Dr. Martin JL is a Professor and Kelly Gene Cook, Sr. Chair in Civil Engineering Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Mississippi State University. He has done Ph.D. in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Texas A & M University, Texas. Dr. Martin JL Research Interests has led or collaborated on air pollutant research which has included, among other studies, investigations in to the composition, sources, and photochemical formation of PM2.5, the atmospheric behavior and sources of gas-phase ammonia, on-road vehicular emissions, air pollutant emissions from agricultural crop and animal production facilities.

Modelling Phosphorus Export from Humid Subtropical Agricultural Fields: A Case Study Using the HSPF Model in the Mississippi Alluvial Plain

This research used extensive field data collected during the 1990’s by a consortium of federal, state, local, and university personnel in agricultural areas in the Mississippi Delta region to evaluate runoff, soil erosion, and nutrient losses.
