Biography

Dr. Jensen is currently leading projects funded by the American Diabetes Association and NIH to investigate subspecies of high density lipoprotein, defined based on its protein cargo, in relation to diabetes, cognitive impairment and risk of dementia. Investigations are conducted in the Health Professionals Follow-Up Study, the Nurses’ Health Study, the Danish EPIC cohort study (Diet, Cancer and Health), the Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis, and the Cardiovascular Health Study, and the Gingko Evaluation of Memory Study.
