Biography

Dr. Luiz Eduardo Imbelloni is Professor of Anesthesiology and Director of the Institute for Regional Anesthesia, Hospital de Base-FAMERP, São José do Rio Preto, SP, Brazil. He pursued his Ph.D in Anesthesiology from Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho, UNESP, Sao Paulo, Brazil. He is a pioneer in the use of spinal anesthesia for laparoscopic cholecystectomy in Brazil and is at present active in clinical trials for spinal anesthesia and peripheral nerve blocks. He has published extensively in the field of spinal anesthesia and peripheral nerve blocks. He is having over 250 publications in the peer reviewed journals.
