Biography

I am a neonatologist-pediatrician with formal training and strong research interest in epidemiology. I co-founded the Italian Neonatal Network and I lead the Viareggio subcohort of the multicenter Italian birth cohort study Piccolipiù. My recent work focused on pregnancy complications, very preterm birth, twinning and outcomes, and on the growth and respiratory health of neonates and children. I am currently working on Italian Guidelines for infection control in neonates and Human Milk Banks.
