Biography

Jan Hurdík, DrSc., is professor of law and vice-head of the Civil Law Depart-
ment of the Faculty of Law at the Masaryk University in Brno, Czech
Republic. Since 2008, he has been a member of the Acquis Group of Euro-
pean Private Law, and since 2010, he has also belonged to the European
Law Institute Association (ELIA).
