Biography

Dr. Adams’ research focuses on ensuring best, or evidence-based interventions are effectively delivered within clinical practices and community settings, so as to bridge the gap between bench science and what is translated in communities. Research in her lab centers around three priority areas: Refinement of a critical thinking methodology for behavior change among low-income individuals. and Development of evidence-based obesity prevention programs suitable for community outreach, information dissemination, and public health education; and tailor these programs so that they are culturally appropriate to minority and other audiences.
