Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is associated with a high incidence of destruction of multiple joints, including Atlantoaxial Subluxation (AAS). Because the Vertebral Arteries (VA) is near the Atlantoaxial (AA) joint, VA occlusion may occur due to AAS.
