Biography

Dr. Dongying Gao received Ph.D degree in Crop Genetics and Breeding from Nanjing Agricultural University, China in 2001. Before joining the Department of Horticulture, Michigan State University as a visiting scholar in 2005, He is a Research scientist and group leader at the Institute of Agribiological Genetics and Physiology, Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences (JAAS), China. He is a research professional at the Center for Applied Genetic Technologies, University of Georgia. His Research Includes the Plant genetics and comparative genomics in particular my current research is focused on Rice-Microbe Interaction, Rice Tissue Culture and Analyzing Transposons in Rice.
