Biography

Dr. Anthony Kalloo is a professor of medicine with special interests in Natural Orifice Translumenal Endoscopic Surgery, therapeutic endoscopy, and sphincter of Oddi dysfunction. He received his medical degree at the University of West Indies Medical School. Dr. Kalloo has authored multiple scientific papers and book chapters. He has pioneered and has several patents including the use of Botulinum Toxin in the gastrointestinal tract, endoscopic cryotherapy and the winged biliary/pancreatic stent and others related to natural orifice surgery. He is the pioneer of Natural Orifice Translumenal Endoscopic Surgery, a technique that will enable abdominal surgery without the use of incisions.
