Macda Gerard
Biography
Macda Gerard is a Clinical Research Assistant II for the OpenNotes Project in the Division of General Medicine and Primary Care at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She cooperates in the investigation of the impact of increased transparency between clinicians and patients. She has experience screening research subjects, facilitating focus groups, and evaluating clinical factors in clinical research projects. Educated at Brown University, she is interested in disparities in healthcare access and delivery within underserved communities and is committed to projects which aim to encourage individuals’ autonomy in their personal health through improvements in access.
