Pondicherry Psychology Association

The Pondicherry Psychology Association is a private voluntary organization which was formed by the psychologists from Pondicherry as well as other places. The association has started on 1st January, 2000 with the motto of advancement of psychology as a profession, science and for human welfare promotion. The panel of association includes Psychologists, Clinicians, Researchers, Educationists, Psychology students, Faculty. The association is governed by elected heads of the council.For recognition of the services offered by psychologists, the association confers Best Psychologist Award for Professionals and Educationists. The association offers services in publishing research papers, conducting national and international conferences, counsellings etc. Publication of a quarterly newsletter with the name 'Indian Psychologist' as a private communication to the members is being done by the The Pondicherry Psychology Association.During the year 2001 Life Time Achievement award has been conferred to Prof. V.T.Patil, Vice Chancellor, Pondicheny University Best Educationist award to Rev. Fr. A.J. Lawrence, Principal, Pope John Paul II College of Education and Best Psychologist award 2000 to Prof. B. Viswanathan former Dean, Faculty of Education and Prof and Head, Dept.of psychology, Annamalai University and Best Psychologist award 2001 to Prof. T.V.A. Raghavan, Former Professor and Head, Dept. of Psychology of Annamalai University.
