Osteopathy is a way of detecting, treating and preventing health problems by moving, stretching and massaging a persons muscles and joints. It is based on the principle that the wellbeing of an individual depends on their bones, muscles, ligaments and connective tissue functioning smoothly together. Osteopaths believe their treatments allow the body to heal itself. They use a range of techniques but do not use drugs or surgery. Most people who see an osteopath helps with back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain or other problems related to muscles and joints. A journal is a periodical publication intended to further progress of science, usually by reporting new research.
Most journals are highly specialized, although some of the oldest journals publish articles, reviews, editorials, short communications, letters, and scientific papers across a wide range of scientific fields. Journals contain articles that peer reviewed, in an attempt to ensure that articles meet the journal's standards of quality, and scientific validity.
