According to the world statistics 69% of the adults consume caffeine every day in the form of energy drink, coffee, soft drinks etc. caffeine is a CNS stimulant. Caffeine antagonizes, or blocks, adenosine receptors. Adenosine is a by-product of cellular activity, and the adenosine receptors play a role in producing feelings of tiredness and the need to sleep. Consequently, the action of Dopamine increases which produces a feeling of satisfaction etc. Caffeine withdrawal produces a unpleasant feelings which differ among individuals.
