Sleep Disorders

As per available reports about 80 journals, 100 Conferences, 31 workshops are presently dedicated exclusively to Sleep Disorder and about 72047 articles are being published on the current trends in Sleep Disorders. According to the National Institutes of Health, 12 million Americans have OSA. There are more cases of Sleep Disorder still because people either do not report the condition or do not know they have sleep apnea. As reported in Hirshkowitz, Max (2004) article, Sleep Disorder or somnipathy, is a medical disorder of the sleep patterns of a person or animal. Some sleep disorders are serious enough to interfere with normal physical, mental, social and emotional functioning. Polysomnography is a test commonly ordered for some sleep disorders.
