Biography

Dr. Nagendra Reddy Chintam, working as a research scientist in Medicinal Chemistry Department at Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, Florida, USA. Currently he is working on the synthesis of 5-Oxo-ETE receptor antagonists directed against a new therapeutic target in asthma and allergic rhinitis. He did first Postdoctoral Research work at Pohang University of Science and Technology, Pohang, South Korea. He obtained Ph. D. in Organic chemistry from Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad, India. He has broad research experience in the areas of synthetic organic chemistry/medicinal chemistry and development of novel new synthetic methodologies. As a research fellow he has acquired proficiency in multi-step synthesis of important chiral compounds and their structural characterization-using modern spectroscopic techniques. His research interests include natural product total synthesis, asymmetric catalysis, target-oriented drug design, SAR study, multi-component reactions, new synthetic methodologies and organo-functional materials.

Dr. Nagendra Reddy Chintam's research work credited over 10 publications and 31 in Peer Reviewed Research Journal. He has Strong research interests in organic/medicinal chemistry, responsible team player with capability of leading a team.
