Radioembolization Is a newly developed technique where radioactive particles are delivered to the tumor through bloodstream. The radioactive isotopes will be targeted and show specificity to the tumor cells. This is currently used to treat hepatic carcinoma which is the cancer of the liver cells. This technique is suggested only when the patient cannot be treated with other techniques or methods. This method is still under development.
