Dr Vinoy Thomas is a Research Scientist at the Center for Nanoscale Materials Biointegration CNMB Department of Physics The University of Alabama at Birmingham UAB USA He earned his PhD from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology SCTIMST India He did postdoctoral studies at FriedrichSchiller University FSU Germany and National Institute of Standards and Technology NIST USA He has published more than 40 Peerreviewed papers and 2 Reviews He has been teaching experience of more than 5 years He has lifemembership in Society for Biomaterials and Artificial Organs India SBAOI and Society for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine India STERMI He is one of the members in Editorial Boards of Current Nanoscience Journal of Biomimetics Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering etc He served as a reviewer of peerreviewed journals in the area of Polymers Nanotechnology Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine He received awards like National Research Council Research Associateship Award by National Academy of Sciences USA and Outstanding Visiting Scholar Award by University of Alabama at Birmingham
