Biography
Luca Valerio, MD, graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome, Italy, where he was an intern in the laboratory of General Pathology, the department of Anatomic Pathology and Legal Medicine, and the department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, cooperating with the research activity of all three. He lives in the Netherlands where he is working for the NIVEL (Netherlands Institute for Health Services Research) in a research project on compared health systems on account of WHO Europe and for the European Public Health Association in a European Union-sponsored project on the promotion of Health Impact Assessment, and where he is set to start the medical specialty training in Internal Medicine.
