Jermane Bond

Biography

Dr. Jermane Bond has received his PhD in Medical Sociology at Howard University in 2008. Currently, he is working as Director of the Commission on Paternal Involvement in Pregnancy Outcomes and Research Scientist in the Health Policy Institute at the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies in the District of Columbia. He is serving as an editorial member of the American Journal of Public Health. He has authored numerous research articles. He is also a member of the American College of Epidemiology and the American Public Health Association. He is honored as a Senior Advisor and Editor, Health Power for Minorities, LLC; Advisory Board Member, The Boys Initiative and Founding Director, Commission on Paternal Involvement in Pregnancy Outcomes.

Research Interest

Men’s preconception and reproductive health; paternal involvement in pregnancy outcomes; prevention of preterm birth, low birthweight and infant mortality; microvascular complications of diabetic pregnancy.
