Dr. Jean-Pierre Bah KOUAKOU is an anthropologist health. He is professor at the Department of Anthropology and Sociology at the University of Bouaké, Côte de Ivoire. He is the author of two books and numerous scientific articles. His research is focused on three main areas: - Environment and health (relationship between the environment and some tropical diseases such as malaria, schistosomiasis ;- Reproductive Health (issue of maternal and child); - Culture and Health (perceptions of illness and health, traditional medicine).
