    Biography :
    Goldfeld joined the Advanced BioCatalytics Corporation (Irvine, CA) in 2003, where he is Director of Corporate Research. He previously held senior research and teaching positions in various academic, governmental and corporate organizations, including NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the University of California-Irvine, and over 15 years as a professor and head of research at the Dept. of Biochemical Kinetics, Institute of Chemical Physics, Moscow. His area of expertise is in biophysical chemistry, surface and membrane science. He authored over 120 peer-reviewed research papers, monographs, textbooks; and holds patents in the fields of agricultural chemistry, bioactive compounds and surfactants. Dr. Goldfeld holds an MS degree in chemistry from the Moscow University, and PhD and DSc from the Russian Academy of Sciences. He is currently editorial board member at the Journal of Petroleum & Environmental Biotechnology.     BIOGRAPHY

    Biography :
    Tadege has completed his MS in Biotechnology at Wageningen Agricultural University in the Netherlands and received Ph.D. in Plant Molecular Biology from the University of Bern in Switzerland. He did postdoctoral research at CSIRO, Plant Industry in Australia and at The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation in Oklahoma, USA. Dr. Tadege is currently an Assistant Professor at Oklahoma State University where he leads a group working on plant biomass functional genomics. His current research mainly focuses on identifying genes and genetic networks required for biomass synthesis and accumulation during development. He has published more than 30 papers in reputed journals and book chapters. He is serving as an editorial board member of the Journal of Environmental and Analytical Toxicology.     BIOGRAPHY

    Biography :
    Dr. Thaddeus Ezeji completed his Ph.D 11 years ago from University of Rostock, Germany and Postdoctoral studies from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Microbiology, Department of Animal Sciences, The Ohio State University and Ohio State Agricultural and Development Center (OARDC), Columbus & Wooster. Dr. Ezeji has published more than 45 papers and book chapters in reputed journals and books. He is a co-Editor of a book on Biofuels, and associate Editor of three international journals.     Research emphasis is on lignocellulosic biomass pretreatment and conversion into biofuels and other bioproducts, and development of new microbial strains that are capable of utilizing mixtures (pentose and hexose sugars) of lignocellulosic derived sugars and resistant to microbial inhibitors present in the lignocellulosic hydrolysates.     Biography :
    Dr. Liu received Ph.D. degree in Plant Molecular Genetics from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 1994.  Her postdoctoral research focused in biotechnology and genetic engineering. Dr. Liu has been a research molecular biologist at USDA-ARS-NCAUR since 2002.  Dr. Liu’s current work focuses on microbial fermentations of various biomass hydrolysates and genetic manipulations of Gram-positive bacteria for conversion of biomass to biofuels and value-added products.  Dr. Liu has authored and coauthored more than 51 peer reviewed publications and 12 invited presentations. Dr. Liu has authored and co-authored 4 invited book chapters, one US patent. Dr. Liu served as ad-hoc proposal reviewer for several organizations and also served as Merit Review Panel for DOE bioenergy related proposals.  Dr. Liu also served as reviewer of numerous peer-reviewed journals in the area of biotechnology, molecular biology and genetic engineering; she serves as editorial board member for the Journal of Petroleum & Environmental Biotechnology.     I, Dr. Shweta Kulshreshtha, am lecturer in Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. I born in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh (India) and complete my study there. After marriage, I moved to Jaipur and complete PhD from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. I have qualified UGC-CSIR NET- 2004, GATE-2002 and TIFR examinations. I have approximately 6 years of teaching experience. I worked as Microbiologist with Medispan limited (A unit of Shriram Group, Chennai). My general research subjects include bioremediation of paper and pulp industrial waste, mushroom cultivation, genotoxicity assays, Ames test and Immunological techniques. I also diagnosed Tuberculosis using FAST plaque TB test. She attended 16 National or International Conferences and presented her work in oral and poster presentation.  I won four awards or prizes in various National and International Conferences during research. I have published 6 research papers in National and International Journal. Chapter on bioremediation of pulp and paper industrial waste has been submitted for publication in the Springer’s book.
