Biomarker journals are the peer reviewed, open access journals which bring together all aspects of the rapidly growing field of biomarker research. Biomarker journals publish original discoveries, novel concepts, commentaries and reviews covering all the arenas of Biomarkers and these journals facilitate translation of our research knowledge. Biomarker journals serve as a forum for the exchange of ideas and techniques in all areas of biomarker research. Biomarker journals has enlarged its scope to include the expanding area of biomarkers of disease and now intends to include evidence-based pharmacodynamic marker including uses and applications in four main areas, biomarkers of disease, biomarkers of exposure, biomarkers of susceptibility and biomarkers of response. Biomarkers of disease cover the measurement of endogenous substances or parameters indicative of a disease process and the use of pharmacodynamics and genetic markers in evidence-based laboratory medicine and treatment. Biomarkers of exposure herein cover detection and measurement of internal exposure to drugs and other chemical compounds. Biomarkers of response includes the measures of endogenous substances or parameters indicative of pathological or biochemical changes due to the dynamic interactions of a toxicant with a biological target and its biological effects, resulting from exposure to drugs and other chemicals and biomarkers of susceptibility includes genetic factors which alter the susceptibility to drugs and other chemicals substances.
